George Phillips Calls on Charlie Rangel to Resign

Today Congressman Rangel announced that he would be stepping down from his committee chairmanship in the wake of revelations regarding his behavior and ongoing ethics concerns. Stepping down from his Chairmanship is not enough.  For a Member of Congress to have made such questionable and unethical decisions regarding tax law when he is head of the Committee that oversees tax policy warrants resignation.

Also, Maurice Hinchey should speak up.  In the past, when controversies have arisen involving Republicans, other members of our party have called upon them to resign. We can't have Members of Congress like Maurice Hinchey tolerating the culture of corruption when it is exposed in their own party.
